Welcome to Jannetta's Home Page. These web pages are to keep family and friends up to date with all the things I have been up to and to share some interests with other visitors. From the links you can see what the things are that I am interested in. Follow them and maybe there is something that you might have been looking for. For a long time now I have disabled commenting and a guestbook. This was solely due to abuse of these features by spammers. I have re-enabled comments with CAPTCHA (you have to enter some obscure looking string). Hopefully that will enable interested people to leave comments, which I would really appreciate and prevent spammers from abusing the facility.

Some of the Topics that I find interesting and will be posting articles about are Java, Processing, LaTeX, JMeter and BioInformatics. I have also created a Black Book topic where I will write about organisations that really go out of their way to make one's life miserable with their incompetence or bad service.

Welkom by Jannetta se Tuisblad. Die doel van hierdie webwerf is om my ervaringe en sommige van my belangstellings met vriende, familie en ander besoekers te deel. Die skakels behoort aan die besoeker 'n idee te gee van die dinge waarin ek belangstel. Volg hulle en dalk vind jy iets wat vir jou interressant is. Ongelukkig moes ek 'n paar jaar gelede die kommentaar- en gasteboekfasileite verwyder. Die enigste rede hiervoor was dat "spammers" die fasiliteit misbruik het. Ek het nou weer kommentaar beskikbaar gestel met CAPTCHA (mens moet so 'n klompie letters en nommers wat snaaks gedruk is in 'n teksveld invoer). Hopelik sal dit mense wat wel kommentaar wil lewer daartoe in staat stel en ek sal enige kommentaar waardeer. Terselfdertyd hoop ek dit sal "spammers" verhoed om my webwerf te vandaliseer.

Sommige van die onderwerpe wat ek interressant vind en artikels oor sal skryf is Java, Processing, LaTeX, JMeter en Bioinformatika. Ek het ook 'n "Black Book" onderwerp geskep waar ek sal skryf oor organisasies wat uit hulle pad gaan om mens se lewe om te krap met hulle onbevoegdheid, onproffesionaliteit en slegte kliêntediens.
